The bill passed last week setting goal of 17 percent cut below 2005 levels in greenhouse gases by the year 2020 earns tepid response from UN: “That’s clearly lower than other countries are now aiming, particularly the European Union.” Having seen how great these taxes have been for Europe, we’re sure there’s more to come.

Liberals Frustrated on Gun, Guantanamo Issues

“Frustrated liberals are asking why a Democratic-controlled Congress and White House can’t manage to close the Guantanamo prison or keep new gun-rights laws from passing.” Well, maybe it’s because in each case, the majorities Democrats achieved in the House and Senate were fueled by the recruitment of pro-gun, pro-defense candidates winning Republican districts?

World Outraged by Second North Korean Nuclear, Ballistic Missile Test

In addition to a second ballistic missile test, Kim Jong Il’s government announces that “it had tested [a nuclear] weapon in an underground explosion, provoking an angry response from the world’s governments.” Less than three weeks ago, the White House had announced renewed diplomacy with North Korea. We’re gonna need a bigger reset button.
