Time Warner Inc. said it anticipates spinning off all or parts of its troubled AOL unit, although the company cautioned its board has not made a final decision yet. Time Warner said in a securities filing that it expects to start a process to spin off “one or more parts of the businesses of AOL to Time Warner’s stockholders, in one or a series of transactions.” The company said in the filing that it also continues to review strategic options for AOL, and it may yet pursue an alternative other than a spinoff of AOL.
