Nearly all of Stephen Colbert’s right-wing-blowhard act is just that. But he’s legitimately a churchgoing, Sunday School teaching Roman Catholic — which means that occasionally, his true views shine through. When confronted with the particularly tiresome and humorless anti-theist Bart Ehrman, Colbert breaks out the book learning. And he still gets the laughs.
