The Bizarre World of Will Folks

When I remarked the other day about Will Folks, who’s claimed an “inappropriate physical relationship” with South Carolina gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley, I mentioned he was considered “odd.” I meant the “mild eccentric” meaning of the word, but I may have to revise that having seen this video, dug up by Verum Serum:

A mock interview of Haley by Folks, it’s actually pretty appalling. Ace reacts:

1. It sort of shows a hero-worship/romantic obsession with Haley. Which I would call “motive,” should this turn out to be a big hoax.

2. It’s kind of threatening… especially when you consider that Folks was arrested for domestic violence. And then he pled guilty to that. Now, his claim now (after pleading guilty) is that it never happened, was all fake or whatever… Okay. Fine. What’s he doing smuggling in not one but several “jokes” about beating up Nikki Haley in this video?

3. This just has a weird, nightmarish Rupert Pupkin vibe to it overall. It’s not funny, it’s talentless, and it reveals, accidentally, something unfavorable about him.

I’d just ask the womenfolk to appreciate that not all South Carolina men are like Mark Sanford or Will Folks. Thankfully.

Update: Erick Erickson says: “I have it on very good authority from a third party group not connected to any of the campaigns that Folks was trying to sell this story last year. Sell it.

Ace is in epic mode over here, and it’s even descended to the level of demotivators and picture hawking.

We’ve got some breaking exclusive video of Folks at work:
