Population Shift: Cities Grow, Suburbs Fade as Recession Continues

According to Census data released today, America’s current economic woes are having a massive effect on population trends, and not just on migration. “The upshot is that the spread of racial diversity, which had been moving beyond gateway cities such as Los Angeles to suburbs and interior states, has slowed with the economy.”
