In Response to Swine Flu, Obama Pitches More Science Research Spending

President Obama this morning said that the swine flu outbreak is “cause for concern” but “not a cause for alarm.” In remarks before the National Academy of Sciences President Obama said that he is closely monitoring the emerging cases of swine flu in the U.S and that the Public Health Emergency was declared as a “precautionary tool” to ensure necessary resources are at the disposal of the government.
